Terms of service and privacy policies for all our products.
Last updated: July 17, 2026 · Version 1.2
This Policy explains how personal data relating to VaultOS, a macOS and Windows desktop application distributed by direct download from Del Portal’s website and, where applicable, through application stores, is handled.
VaultOS is a local-first application and does not require a user account.
Content placed in the vault—such as passwords, API keys, notes, 2FA codes and associated files—is stored in encrypted form on the user’s own device. Vault contents, the master password and the recovery code are not transmitted to Del Portal, Lemon Squeezy, Cloudflare, Hugging Face or application stores. Del Portal cannot access, read, reset or decrypt that content.
VaultOS does process limited technical and commercial data when it:
VaultOS contains no advertising, behavioral analytics, usage telemetry or trackers, and Del Portal does not sell personal data.
This Policy applies to VaultOS-related processing performed by Del Portal.
Commercial, licensing, support, privacy and complaint data is included in Del Portal’s private personal-data filing system identified by its official Spanish name, “CLIENTES Y USUARIOS DE SOFTWARE - VAULTOS”, owned by Del Portal and registered before Peru’s National Personal Data Protection Registry under code PJ-2026-3808 (registered on 17 July 2026), together with its cross-border data flows, in accordance with Law No. 29733 and its Regulations.
Local vault contents are not part of that filing system because Del Portal never receives or controls them.
3.1 Local vault contents
A user may store passwords, technical secrets, keys, notes, authentication codes and other information of their choice. This data:
The master password is not stored. The recovery code is not transmitted to Del Portal. If both are lost, the vault may be unrecoverable.
3.2 Update checks
At most once per day, unless disabled by the user, VaultOS may request:
https://delportaltechnologies.com/vaultos/latest.json
The request contains no user identifier or installed-version parameter. As with any HTTPS connection, infrastructure providers may receive the IP address, timestamp and basic connection data. The update feed is signed, and VaultOS does not automatically download or install an update.
3.3 License activation
When a user activates or restores a Pro license, the following data is processed:
Depending on the active technical configuration, activation may occur:
The license key is never used to access vault contents.
3.4 Periodic license revalidation
When Del Portal’s licensing service is enabled, VaultOS may send, no more than once per day:
These identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous, because they can recognize the same installation over time. The response is limited to valid, revoked or unknown.
The service may retain:
Revalidation never permits access to the vault. A licensing issue does not block reading, copying, searching or exporting local vault contents.
3.5 Purchase and commercial management
For direct purchases, Lemon Squeezy, operated by Sold through Link, LLC, acts as merchant of record. It may process:
Del Portal does not receive or store full card details. Del Portal may access through Lemon Squeezy’s dashboard or API commercial and licensing data needed to provide support, verify a purchase, manage a refund, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
For purchases through the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store, the relevant store manages the transaction under its own terms and privacy notices.
3.6 Optional local AI model download
The AI feature is disabled by default. If the user enables it, VaultOS downloads a model once from Hugging Face infrastructure or its content-delivery network. During that download, the provider may receive the IP address, timestamp and basic connection data.
After download, inference runs locally. VaultOS does not send vault contents, prompts submitted to the model or model responses to Hugging Face or Del Portal.
3.7 Diagnostics and support
VaultOS creates a limited, rotating diagnostic file locally. It:
When a user contacts support, privacy, billing or the Complaints Book, Del Portal may process the user’s name, email address, phone number, order data, case description, attachments, voluntarily provided logs and any information needed to handle the request.
Users must not send their master password, recovery code or vault secrets to support.
Del Portal processes the data described above to:
Processing strictly necessary to perform a purchase, license or requested support service takes place within the contractual relationship. Processing required by law is performed to comply with legal obligations. The voluntary submission of additional information or diagnostic files follows the user’s decision to request assistance.
VaultOS does not make automated decisions producing legal effects on users and does not create advertising or commercial profiles.
Data may be obtained:
Depending on the channel used, data may be processed by or disclosed to:
Del Portal does not allow these providers to use vault contents because vault contents are never transmitted to them.
Some providers are located in the United States or operate internationally distributed infrastructure. Limited technical and commercial data may therefore be processed outside Peru.
Del Portal adopts reasonable contractual and security measures, uses data-processing agreements where appropriate, and reports cross-border flows to Peru’s National Personal Data Protection Registry as required by Peruvian law. Transfers never include vault contents, the master password or the recovery code.
Del Portal applies the following criteria:
| Category | Period or criterion |
|---|---|
| Vault contents | Only on the device until deleted by the user. Del Portal retains no copy. |
| Master password and recovery code | Not retained by Del Portal. |
| Clear-text activation data | Used transiently for the request and not persisted in clear text by Del Portal’s Worker. |
| Pseudonymous revalidation metadata | While the license remains active and the data is needed to administer it; deleted or anonymized within 24 months after the last validation when no longer needed for an active license, fraud review or claim. |
| Blocked-license hashes | While needed to prevent use of a refunded, revoked, fraudulent or charged-back license, and for up to five years after final discontinuation of the licensing service, unless a legal duty or pending dispute requires longer retention. |
| Commercial data accessible to Del Portal | During the licensing relationship and, as a general rule, up to five years after the last transaction or termination, unless law, a claim or legal defense requires longer retention. Lemon Squeezy and stores also apply their own legal periods. |
| Support tickets | Up to two years after closure; submitted diagnostic files are deleted within 12 months after closure unless needed for an incident or dispute. |
| Privacy requests | For the time needed to handle the request and prove the response; as a general rule, up to five years. |
| Complaints Book records | For the period required by consumer-protection law, currently no less than two years. |
| Del Portal access and security logs | Up to 30 days in ordinary operation; longer where needed for an incident, fraud review, lawful request or legal defense. |
When the applicable period expires, data is reasonably deleted, blocked or anonymized unless retention is legally required.
Del Portal uses technical and organizational measures appropriate to risk, including:
No system is absolutely invulnerable. If an incident affects personal data under Del Portal’s control, legally required notifications will be made.
Data subjects may exercise rights of information, access, rectification, cancellation and objection, and may withdraw consent where applicable.
For vault contents, these rights are exercised directly on the device: users can view, edit, export or delete their data.
For commercial, technical, support or complaint data controlled by Del Portal, requests may be submitted free of charge to:
privacy@delportaltechnologies.com
A request should include, as applicable:
Ordinary maximum response periods are:
Periods may be extended only where permitted by law. Cancellation does not apply to data that must be retained for a legal duty, fraud prevention or legal claims; where appropriate, the data will instead be blocked or restricted.
A data subject who considers that a request was not properly handled may apply to Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection or use other remedies available under law.
VaultOS is not specifically directed to children. Purchases must be made by a person with legal capacity or with the involvement of a legal representative. Del Portal does not seek to knowingly collect children’s data through the application.
Del Portal may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical or product changes. The current version will be published with its date. Where a change materially alters processing, prominent prior notice will be provided where required.

These Terms govern the download, purchase, licensing and use of VaultOS, a macOS and Windows desktop application.
By expressly accepting these Terms, downloading, installing or using VaultOS, the user enters into an agreement with Del Portal. Anyone who does not agree must not install or use the application.
The user must have legal capacity to contract. A user acting for an organization represents that they are authorized to bind it.
These Terms are supplemented by:
VaultOS is a local vault for passwords, keys, 2FA codes, notes and other secrets.
The Privacy Policy describes the limited technical and commercial data processed in those operations.
3.1 Free plan
The free version permits up to fifteen (15) items. Reading, copying, searching and exporting available contents remain accessible and are not blocked by Pro-license status.
3.2 Pro Lifetime purchase
VaultOS offers a one-time purchase called “Pro Lifetime”, with no automatic renewal or subscription.
For direct sales, the list price as of these Terms is USD 34, subject to the price, currency, taxes or promotion clearly shown at checkout. The price displayed before purchase confirmation controls.
“Lifetime” means a non-expiring license to use the Pro functionality included in VaultOS at the time of purchase, on the number of devices allowed by the license, while the software remains technically compatible with the user’s system.
“Lifetime” does not mean:
Del Portal will not arbitrarily remove Pro functionality already purchased. It may change the product for security, compliance, compatibility or technical-development reasons while reasonably preserving the essential value of the purchased license.
If the licensing service is permanently discontinued, Del Portal will, where technically feasible and legally permitted, provide a reasonable mechanism for valid licenses to retain purchased functionality. Discontinuation of licensing will never block access to local vault contents.
3.3 Devices
The license is personal or for internal use by one organization and may be used on the number of devices specified at checkout, in the license key or under the relevant store rules. It may not be publicly shared, resold or used to provide activation services to third parties.
4.1 Direct purchase
For purchases from Del Portal’s website:
4.2 Apple App Store
For Apple App Store purchases, Apple manages the transaction, billing and refund procedure under its terms. The Apple Addendum to the EULA applies to that distribution.
4.3 Microsoft Store
For Microsoft Store purchases, Microsoft manages the transaction, billing and refund procedure under its terms.
Non-waivable consumer rights prevail over any contractual or store policy that is less favorable.
In addition to statutory rights, Del Portal offers a voluntary full refund for direct purchases requested within fourteen (14) calendar days after purchase.
A request must be sent to billing@delportaltechnologies.com and include the purchase email and order number. Once approved:
This voluntary policy does not restrict any remedy available where VaultOS lacks conformity, differs from what was offered, has a defect attributable to the provider or another statutory ground applies.
Apple or Microsoft purchases must initially be submitted through the relevant store procedure, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
To activate Pro, a user must enter a valid license. VaultOS may verify its status through Lemon Squeezy or Del Portal infrastructure, depending on the active configuration.
A license may be marked invalid or revoked due to a refund, chargeback, fraud, abusive use, excessive installations or material breach.
Except in cases of manifest fraud or a legal requirement, a revocation or persistent validation failure is subject to a fourteen (14)-day grace period before Pro functionality is downgraded. Reading, copying, searching and exporting the vault are never blocked.
Subject to these Terms and the EULA, Del Portal grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to install and use VaultOS on compatible devices owned or controlled by the user.
VaultOS is licensed, not sold. The user retains ownership of information stored in the vault.
The user is responsible for:
If both the master password and recovery code are lost, Del Portal cannot recover the contents.
A user may not:
These restrictions do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For direct downloads, VaultOS may consult a signed feed to notify the user that a version is available. Checks can be disabled and the application does not automatically download or install the binary.
Store versions are updated through Apple or Microsoft mechanisms.
Some updates may be needed to remedy vulnerabilities or maintain compatibility. Del Portal will seek to provide notice of material changes. Failure to install a security update may increase risk or limit future support.
The local AI feature is disabled by default. Enabling it downloads a model from an external repository and may be subject to third-party licenses disclosed in the application or documentation.
After download, processing occurs locally. Results may be inaccurate and are not professional advice. Users must review them before relying on them.
Del Portal provides support at support@delportaltechnologies.com. Support does not include remote access to the vault or master-password recovery.
Users should provide only necessary information and redact secrets before sending screenshots or logs.
VaultOS, its code, design, brand, documentation and proprietary components belong to Del Portal or its licensors. Third-party components remain subject to their respective notices.
User-supplied content belongs to the user. Del Portal acquires no rights in the vault.
Del Portal must provide a product that corresponds to the information offered and to non-waivable consumer rights.
Except for warranties that cannot be excluded, VaultOS is provided “as is” and subject to technical availability. Del Portal does not warrant that it:
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, non-excludable personal injury, breach of mandatory duties or lack of conformity attributable to Del Portal.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Del Portal is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for data loss caused exclusively by:
This limitation does not reduce non-waivable rights or prevent a remedy for a defect or breach attributable to Del Portal.
A user may terminate the license by uninstalling VaultOS.
Del Portal may terminate or restrict a Pro license for material breach, fraud, refund, chargeback or unauthorized use. Where reasonable, it will state the reason and allow an opportunity to cure before termination.
Termination of Pro does not grant Del Portal access to the vault and does not block reading, copying, searching or exporting. Provisions concerning ownership, responsibility, data protection and dispute resolution survive where appropriate.
Users may submit a complaint or grievance through Del Portal’s online Complaints Book:
https://delportaltechnologies.com/es/legal/libro-de-reclamaciones/
Submission generates a receipt and does not prevent the user from applying to Indecopi or another dispute-resolution mechanism. Del Portal responds in writing within the maximum statutory period, currently fifteen (15) non-extendable business days.
Del Portal may update these Terms for legal, technical or product changes. Amendments do not retroactively reduce the essential rights attached to an existing purchase.
Material changes will be published with a new date and reasonably communicated before they apply where appropriate. Where new express acceptance is required, VaultOS will request it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru.
A user acting as a consumer is not deprived by this choice of mandatory protections or access to the authorities and courts granted by the law of their habitual residence.
For non-consumer relationships, the parties submit to the courts of Lima, Peru, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1. Agreement
This End User License Agreement is between DEL PORTAL TECHNOLOGIES S.A.C. (“Del Portal”) and the person or organization installing or using VaultOS (“User”).
By accepting this EULA, downloading, installing or using VaultOS, the User agrees to its terms. A User who does not agree must not install or use the software.
2. Product and local architecture
VaultOS is a desktop application for locally storing passwords, keys, 2FA codes, notes and other secrets.
Vault contents are encrypted on the device using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from the master password using Argon2id. Del Portal does not receive vault contents, the master password or the recovery code and cannot reset or decrypt them.
VaultOS may make limited network calls for updates, license activation and validation and an optional local-model download, as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. License grant
Subject to compliance with this EULA and applicable payment, Del Portal grants the User a license that is:
to install and use VaultOS on macOS or Windows devices owned or controlled by the User, within the installation count authorized at checkout, by the license or under applicable store rules.
The free version is licensed without charge and subject to its functional limits. Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-expiring license as defined in the Terms of Service.
4. Licensed, not sold
VaultOS and all intellectual-property rights remain owned by Del Portal or its licensors. The User receives only the right to use granted by this EULA.
The User retains ownership of data placed in the vault.
5. Restrictions
Unless mandatory law permits otherwise, the User may not:
6. Master password, recovery code and backups
The master password and recovery code are the means of access to the vault. Del Portal:
If both are lost, contents may become permanently inaccessible. The User is responsible for safeguarding them and maintaining secure backups.
This allocation of responsibility does not exclude liability for a software defect legally attributable to Del Portal.
7. Activation and license status
VaultOS may validate a license through Lemon Squeezy or Del Portal infrastructure. The Privacy Policy describes the data processed.
A Pro license may be revoked due to refund, chargeback, fraud, unauthorized use or material breach. Except in cases of manifest fraud or legal requirement, a fourteen (14)-day grace period applies before Pro functionality is downgraded.
Reading, copying, searching and exporting vault contents are not blocked by license status.
8. Updates
Del Portal may provide corrections, security updates and new versions:
This EULA applies to updates unless an update is accompanied by different terms validly accepted.
9. Third-party components and services
VaultOS may include libraries or components under third-party licenses. Applicable notices are provided with the software or documentation.
The optional AI-model download may be subject to the license displayed before download. Lemon Squeezy, Apple, Microsoft, Cloudflare, Hugging Face and other provider terms apply to their respective services, without making those providers responsible for local vault contents.
10. Support
Del Portal provides support at support@delportaltechnologies.com. Support does not include master-password recovery, vault decryption or remote access to vault contents.
11. Termination
The User may terminate this EULA by ceasing use and uninstalling VaultOS.
Del Portal may terminate the license for material breach, fraud, refund, chargeback or unauthorized use. Where reasonable, it will state the reason and provide an opportunity to cure.
Upon termination, the User must cease use of licensed functionality. Termination does not grant Del Portal access to local contents and does not prevent the User from accessing or exporting the vault through available basic functionality.
Provisions that by their nature should survive remain effective.
12. Warranties and consumer rights
VaultOS is supplied in accordance with its disclosed characteristics and applicable non-waivable consumer rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law and except for warranties that cannot be excluded, VaultOS is provided “as is” and subject to technical availability. Del Portal does not warrant indefinite compatibility with future operating-system versions or absolute freedom from errors or vulnerabilities.
Nothing in this EULA excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, breach of mandatory duties or lack of conformity attributable to Del Portal.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Del Portal is not liable for unforeseeable indirect losses or for data loss caused exclusively by lost credentials, lack of backups, device damage or compromise outside Del Portal’s control, unauthorized modification or use contrary to instructions.
This limitation does not reduce non-waivable rights or prevent a claim for a defect attributable to Del Portal.
14. Export controls
The User must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions rules and may not download or use VaultOS where legally prohibited.
15. Governing law and venue
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru.
A consumer is not deprived by this choice of mandatory protections or venue rights granted by the law of their habitual residence.
For non-consumer relationships, the parties submit to the courts of Lima, Peru.
16. Entire agreement and precedence
This EULA, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy form the contractual framework for VaultOS. Mandatory law and mandatory store conditions prevail where applicable.
If a clause is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to the fullest extent permitted.

VaultOS requires no registration and creates no user account. There is therefore no “VaultOS account” to close.
Two groups must nevertheless be distinguished:
Uninstalling the application does not automatically erase every purchase or license record held by those providers.
Before deletion, export or back up anything you need to keep.
The operation deletes the selected local vault. Del Portal retains no copy and cannot recover it.
Deletion does not remove copies created or exported by the user or included in Time Machine, File History, snapshots, external backups or third-party services.
Direct distribution, where present:
~/Library/Application Support/vaultos/ — holds your encrypted vault (vaultos.db, vaultos.hdr), attachments, logs and, if you downloaded it, the AI model. This is the main folder.~/Library/Application Support/VaultOS/ — UI session data (caches), no secrets.~/Library/Preferences/com.delportaltechnologies.vaultos.plistMac App Store, where present:
~/Library/Containers/com.delportaltechnologies.vaultos/~/Library/Group Containers/ only for the group container identified with Del Portal Technologies and VaultOS.The exact path may vary by version and packaging. Do not delete other applications’ containers. Contact support if you cannot identify the correct folder.
%APPDATA%\vaultos\ — holds your encrypted vault and app data. Main folder.%LOCALAPPDATA%\vaultos\ — UI caches, no secrets. The exact path may vary by version, installer and Windows user. Contact support if you need help identifying it.
Deleting the vault or its files prevents VaultOS from opening them. The operating system, a backup, snapshot, forensic tool or storage medium may nevertheless retain residual copies outside the application’s control.
Del Portal does not promise forensic disk erasure. For particularly sensitive information, users must also manage backups and use deletion or encryption features provided by the operating system.
A direct purchase through Lemon Squeezy may generate records including:
Del Portal may access some of this information for support, validation and compliance. Lemon Squeezy also retains information under its own legal duties and policies.
An Apple App Store or Microsoft Store purchase generates records controlled by the relevant store.
Uninstalling VaultOS or deleting the vault does not automatically cancel a license or erase those records.
To exercise rights regarding data controlled by Del Portal, email free of charge:

Ordinary maximum periods:
Del Portal will delete, correct, block or restrict data as appropriate. Data that must be retained for tax, accounting, consumer-protection, fraud-prevention, refunded-license or legal-claim purposes will not be immediately deleted. The reason will be explained.
Where data is controlled by Lemon Squeezy, Apple, Microsoft or another provider, Del Portal may provide guidance or forward the request where appropriate. The third party may require use of its own privacy channel and may retain information under its own legal duties.
Deletion from a Del Portal record does not require an independent controller to erase information it must lawfully retain.
Diagnostic records remain local and are never uploaded automatically. Users may delete them with local files.
Where a user sent a diagnostic file to support, deletion may be requested. Del Portal normally deletes diagnostic attachments within 12 months after case closure unless needed for an incident, claim or legal duty.
Deletion of licensing data may prevent future activation, restoration or purchase verification. Before carrying out cancellation, Del Portal will explain that consequence where applicable.
Access to the local vault does not depend on Del Portal retaining a name or email address. Reading, copying, searching and exporting are not blocked by license status.
